Pain and Suffer'n compete for $5,000! Pain and Suffer'n Race Course Women's Cyclocross Race Pain and Suffer'n Race Course Pain and Suffer'n Race Course

Welcome off-road bicycle enthusiasts!!

In 2008, a local area dentist allowed use of his Bald Peak property for cyclocross and mountain bike racing. He asks, "What can I do to inflict pain and suffering on weekends?" This was his answer! A "Pain and Suffer'n Weekend" composed of three days of fast and furious racing: day one short track mountain bike, day two crosscountry mountain bike and finally day three, the coup de grace, a spine tingling cyclocross race. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or professional rider, you will find these courses a "ton-o-fun". Youth riders are welcome for their own events, but no whining allowed!

Some exciting news on the Cyclocross Scene – points scored on Sunday’s race will be combined with those from the Hood River Double Cross (September 18th) and Battle at Barlow (September 26th). Points scored at these races will determine the first three race start positions for the beginning of the Cross Crusade series on October 3rd. So be sure to come on out and earn your best possible placement.

Endorsed and scored by OBRA, these races are well planned and meant to stimulate your pain centers. If you don't feel the burn, then pull to the side and let other riders pass you, as you cry out, "I'm not worthy!"

If you wish to come out and watch agony in action, please feel free to visit our many sponsor booths and presenter Sunset Cycles.

It's hard to believe that people will pay to do this to themselves, but for a mere $20 (pre race registration for each race) you can moan and groan your way around some of the most spectacular view property in Washington County.

So if you find the idea of having a root canal exciting, or pass on the anesthetic when you face the drill, these events are for you. Come join us September 10-12th just north of Bald Peak Road on Whitmore Road south of Hillsboro. There is plenty of parking, room for tailgating, and a good time to be had by all who dare.
